A message from Americare Hospice & Palliative Care regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19):
It has been a difficult few weeks as our world faces historic challenges. Your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance. At this time, we want to assure you in the community that our hospice team will continue to remain committed to the safety of the vulnerable population we care for.
We are closely monitoring the situation and guidance related to COVID-19 from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our hospice team members are adhering to precautionary measures as directed by the Arizona Department of Health and Human Services (AZDHS) and Maricopa County Department of Public Health. For the latest information on the virus, visit the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Our licensed medical social workers and chaplains are trained to provide emotional and spiritual support to you and your caregivers; while our certified grief counselors are available to provide grief support during this time of uncertainty and anxiety. This support can be provided in person or telephonically as requested. For more information on managing stress and anxiety, please click on the links below:
As we navigate these unprecedented times, we remain fully committed to you and the care we are providing. We will continue to follow the interim guidelines from the CDC and AZDHS as they are subject to change from day-to-day. In the meantime, click here for educational materials regarding COVID-19 and preventative measures and guidelines by the CDC
We are in this together.
