Volunteer
Hospice exists to provide support and care for persons in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, so they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. At Americare Hospice & Palliative Care, it is a privilege to serve, and we strive for excellence in nurturing the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being of our patients and their families. Hospice philosophy and service depend upon both professional and volunteer workers in fulfilling organizational, patient and family needs. Without volunteers, we could not continue to provide the quality compassionate care needed at this difficult time.
We have a special appreciation for those who give of themselves by serving as hospice volunteers. They are indispensable to the patients and families we serve as well as key members of our hospice care team. Volunteers can serve our patients and families directly or choose office activities, crafts or community outreach. Training and education is specific to the volunteer’s role within the organization and is offered year round. Whatever your skills, talents or interests, hospice has a need you can fill.
Make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families while adding meaning to your own life. Become a hospice volunteer.
